Who Am I?<\/h2>

My name is Nachliel Selavan, 42 (married +2), born and raised in Jerusalem\u2019s Old City. My father\u2019s grandfather came to Israel as a Third Aliya (1920s) pioneer and helped found Seminar haKibbutzim. My mother\u2019s father escaped the Holocaust in Germany and helped build the Atlanta Jewish community. My parents met in Israel and thanks to them, I speak both English and Hebrew fluently. My family history and Jerusalem childhood shaped my personality and I bring all this history with me into the museum.
I currently live in Israel. I guide in museums around the country and travel to museums abroad few times a year.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

My Education<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\n

I double majored in Tanakh and Mass-Media along with my teachers\u2019 degree. After an MA from the Hebrew University\u2019s Melton School of Jewish Education, I am pursuing a second MA in Ancient Jewish History at Yeshiva University, currently in progress.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve engaged thousands of students in formal and informal educational settings.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Between 2009-2013 I taught Tanach, History, Jewish Studies, and Communications in elementary and high schools in Israel, including Dugma-Uziel, Meled, and Rappaport. Between 2013-2020 I taught in Jewish schools in the US, including Barkai and Magen David Yeshivahs in NY, and in Netivot Montessori in NJ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During my US stay I engaged the Jewish community throughout the country through educational programs, lectures, and tours for Jewish schools, organizations and institutions including the WZO, National Bible Contest USA, Israel Bonds, the Jewish Agency, and the UJA Federation of NY.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I currently teach part-time at schools in Israel while running online homeschool history courses in both Hebrew and English, now in their fourth and second years respectively.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Since 2015, I’ve been guiding at the Israel Museum and Bible Lands Museum in Jerusalem — creating tours that combine permanent collections with seasonal exhibitions. Whether visiting with family, a school group, or as a VIP delegation, every tour is shaped around your audience.<\/p>\n\n\n
